General Area

General area:

General area is the entire area of the golf course except of the four other areas defined in the Rules of Golf:

• bunker
• penalty area
• the putting green for the hole the player is playing
• the teeing area from which a player starts the hole

General Area includes any fairway, rough, waste bunker and fringe. It also includes any teeing area or putting green other than the ones for the hole the player is playing.
