Virtual breathalyzer

The virtual breathalyzer below (jump directly to calculation) allows you to estimate the Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) and Breath Alcohol Content (BrAC) as well as the time needed to sober up. This concentration depends primarily on:

  • amount and type of alcohol consumed
  • drinking time
  • drinker details (weight and sex)
  • time elapsed since drinking

BAC / BrAC calculator – virtual breathalyzer

online virtual breathalyzer, estimatation of the blood alcohol content BAC

The calculator allows you to simultaneously enter three different types of alcohol and use both metric and imperial (British) units.

Different countries have different blood alcohol content limits for driving. Therefore, the calculator computes the expected time to reach individual limits: 0.8‰, 0.5‰, 0.2‰ and 0.0‰ (zero tolerance – ZT)

The calculator applies our best knowledge and care. It uses published formulas and parameters assumed for the average person, but nevertheless gives only an estimate of the Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) and Breath Alcohol Content (BrAC). Due to individual characteristics and differences between individuals, in no case should the following results be considered binding.

NOTES:

  • Alcohol is removed from the body only by the liver at a limited rate.
  • Various popular ways such as:
    – drinking coffee
    – outdoor walk
    – hot/cold bath/shower
do not accelerate the removal of alcohol from the body. They can only limit the drowsiness effect of alcohol.
  • Never drive a car without being absolutely sure of your sobriety.
